ESBL’s research is primarily focused on finding solutions. As part of that process, we develop products and services, offer architecture consulting, and teach; aiming to transform traditional design practices. Through our consulting activities we are in a pivotal position to understand the needs of building designers and identify marketplace gaps in materials, components, assemblies and systems. We also conduct scientific research, most recently studying the microbiology of the built environment. Our research has resulted in the development of notable pieces of research equipment for our own and others’ use, including our Climate Chamber, mirrored-box artificial skies, heliodons and wind tunnels.
